Zach LaVine x Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Starfish’

Sneaker customizer Huy Le, the founder of LECHEF STUDIO, has caused quite a buzz lately with his Off-White inspired Air Jordan 1 customs. By adding the delicately-pinned Swooshes, Helvetica text hits and off-centre tongue branding made famous by the late, great Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Air Jordan 1s to other AJ 1s for a hybrid homage, Le has celebrity fans that range from LeBron James to Chloë Grace Moretz – and his latest custom work was created for NBA All-Star Zach LaVine.
The shoe’s base is that of the Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Starfish’, but its details are entirely that of Abloh’s Air Jordan 1, from the special Swoosh to the upper’s stripped-back construction, extra forefoot eyestays, lateral quarter Helvetica text and all the other embellishments we’ve come to know and love since the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 ‘Chicago’ first saw the light of day in November 2017.
