Releasing alongside the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico Orange Frost, the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico Blue Gale celebrates this year’s Puerto Rico Day, which takes place during June in the U.S. along Fifth Avenue in the Manhattan borough of New York City.

The sneaker pays homage to the Puerto Rican frozen treats (helados) known.

Offering a blue finish, the pair’s details matches the “Orange Frost” — save for the color arrangement. The mixed material upper draws inspiration from frozen treats with thematic graphics located at the tongue, sockliner and bandana accessory.

Red accents comprise the top lace loop and the co-branded Nike and Puerto Rico heel panels. Metallic silver lace dubraes spell out Puerto Rico. The tongue features an ice cream wearing a mismatched Air Max 1 in blue and red to match this colourway. The rubber waffle sole with three different shades of blue finish this icy sneaker.

Special packaging that include a custom towel to further celebrate Puerto Rico Day will also be included in the release.

Air Max Vs AF: 3 key differences in the Nike sneakers

1) Design

The most noticeable difference between Air Max and Air Force is the design of the shoes. Both sneakers are known for their unique and eye-catching designs. However, Air Max shoes feature a visible air unit in the sole, which gives them a distinct, futuristic look.

Air Force , on the other hand, have a more classic design with a smooth, solid sole.

2) Comfort

Both Air Max and Air Force are designed with comfort in mind, but they use different technologies to achieve this. Air Max shoes have a more cushioned sole with a larger air unit, which provides a bouncier and more responsive feel. Air Force shoes have a more traditional sole with less cushioning, which provides a firmer and more stable feel.

3) Functionality

While both Air Max and Air Force are popular for casual wear, they have different intended purposes. Air Max shoes are designed more for running and athletic activities, while Air Force shoes are designed more for basketball and other court sports.

Air Max are typically lighter and more flexible, while Air Force are more durable and supportive.
