New Balance has offered a new take on the classic 992 — a lush “Gray” colorway accented with subtle U.S.A. colors. And alongside, the Boston-based institution is adding their penchant for red and blue accents as they apply both to the tooling’s glossy supports.
“New Balance” embroidery has been woven over the top of the tongue, complemented by “992” branding below. The upper, which stays its usual suede and mesh construction, gradates upwards from dark to light as the former outfits the mudguard and heel wrap to close entirety. New Balance’s “N” logo is placed at the sidewalls over a premium pigskin patch that’s juxtaposed by mesh panels. The shoe’s dark gray mudguards complete the uppers. All of these details rest over a white midsole, accented by blue and red rubber inserts for a patriotic color scheme.
